Updates to the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Gla-Class range include two new colors, Iridium Silver and Denim Blue, and revisions to the GLA45 Comfort and Convenience Pack. Twenty-inch wheels are now standard on the AMG. Otherwise, there are not many changes on the GLA, bearing designs and transmissions since last year.
The GLA250 models use a 2.0-liter turbo-4 combined with a good 7-speed automatic dual clutch for 208 horsepower. The GLA45, however, maintains its considerable bump in the grunt, ejecting 375 horsepower from a much modified version of the same engine and transmission. A highlight of the GLA’s driving experience is handling stress, but this unfortunately goes to a slightly stiffer ride on less-than-perfect roads. The 4Matic four-wheel drive system is also a high point, with the ability to handle the loose and light surfaces off the road easily, not to mention extreme weather.
Inside, the front seats are powered and comfortable, but the rear seats are tight and leave something to be desired, although they provide high-end lounge for the CLA sedan. The backseat folds flat to create a more cargo bay than the cave.
All GLA 2019s are equipped with frontal collision warning and automatic emergency braking, as well as options for the CCTV system around. Regrettably, neither IIHS nor the federal testers failed to achieve the GLA, although the small intersection was sold for several years.
Also standard is the electrical features, including the source back port; electric seats wrapped in synthetic leather; and 18-inch wheels. Options include leather seats and panoramic sunroof. Prices start from about $ 34,500, but for our money, we have premium packages, extra blind spot screens, heated front seats and keyless ignition as well as smartphone packages. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All rudder is a must, too, for those in states with snow weather.
GLA is hatchback more luxurious SUV difficult, but it carries its good style signs.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA 2019 rides on a higher suspension and sports a hatchback style slightly higher than the CLA sedan. Close to the Infiniti QX30, which shares a platform, GLA 2019 is business and slightly blunt in such a way that the overall operation. We give it 6 out of 10 to styling (Read more about how we rank cars).
Despite its short roof, the GLA packs in a lot of style markings where it can, from the sloping roof pillars to the substantial sculpture body. The eighteen inch wheel provides the GLA with some curb appeal, and the big three-pointed star occupies nearly one third of the grille to remind people exactly what you are driving. The front and rear bumpers, as well as the standard LED tail lights, give the GLA many of its presence in the last year, while the optional LED headlamps (standard on the AMG model) leave a separate signature in the mirror. rear view of the car in front at night.
The cockpit of the GLA carries relatively unchanging, but the handsome athletic if slightly dated design puts the front and center entertainment information screen in a tacked-on view. The dashes wear large vents and soft touch plastic. The aero-inspired designs still look handsome, but some dashes and slab doors feel difficult to touch. Increased leather costs, as well as finer pieces of carbon fiber, wood and aluminum.
Performance of 2019 Mercedes-Benz Gla-Class
Somewhere between mildly rugged and extremely entertaining, the Mercedes-Benz GLA delivers performance unlike most other SUVs we’ve driven once the AMG badge is attached.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA 2019 uses the usual 2.0-liter turbo-4 in two very different ways, from fully competent power to breathing pleasure.
We give the model line 5 out of 10 for performance. The banshee AMG GLA45 missile appeal is significantly diluted in the GLA250 rigid rider. (Read more about how we rate cars.)
In the GLA250 base, the turbo boosts performance numbers to 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, delivering a time of 0-60 mph 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. 7 speed auto responds quickly to the engine in sport mode, but otherwise, there is no special rush to change. When equipped with all-wheel drive, which the Mercedes-Benz brand is 4Matic, the GLA sends most of its torque to the front wheels, with the ability to divide everything between the front and the rear. Traction is needed.
With 375 horsepower and 350 lb-ft In the AMG GLA45, this modest turbo-4 becomes extremely exciting, as standard all-wheel drive and sport-tuning transmissions help reduce the 0-60 time down. 4.3 seconds, a riot for a small SUV.
The GLA is no off-roader like the Jeep Wrangler, but the AWD system is competent at doling out quite a bit of traction when needed, and root control is available if you go out of the beaten path.
Although a tall body, the GLA is a competent handler, demonstrating spry in the corners despite the 8 inch clearance. However, the downfall was the quality of the car, which was damaged by 18-inch wheels and heavy-duty springs.
For entertainment, nothing fits GLA45. An enhanced engine and dual-drive with 19-inch tires and an interesting exhaust note make it a more formidable hatchback replacement, though much more expensive than Golf R or Subaru WRX. It was entertaining and with no errors it quickly dropped 4.3 seconds 0-60 mph and slipped through the corners with neutrality. Add on a limited-slip difference before, sport suspension, and Race mode, and the GLA45 can twist its tail off the line, but only after the driver removes all the sense of ventilation. often.

The front seat is a little snug, but holds the passenger in tight with aggressive bolsters and firm cushions, and adjustable power make optimum seat position your easy. The AMG GLA45 is equipped with excellent Recaro sport seats, which are also comfortable on long distances, very rare for such powerful aircraft. On both models, synthetic leather is the default, while genuine leather is more expensive.
The rear seats are tight for anyone who is building medium or taller, but the room legs are harder to come by than the back room in the back. With higher drivers or passengers up front, the back room all but disappears, so consider something bigger if you are on average altitude and usually carry passengers in the back.
The rear seats increase the cargo space from a modest 17 to 43.6 megabytes, enough for a fair amount of luggage, even a larger suitcase.
In some ways, the GLA feels as delicate as a Mercedes should, but in others it is no more than a compact car with only some of the nicer sets attached to it. The ride is quiet on the freeway unless the optional summer tires are fitted, which is noisier than they should be. The hard plastic dispersed and thin fabric sunshade does not fit into a Mercedes, and constantly reminds you that you are in one of the most affordable models to wear a three-pointed star.
The GLA has not been tested by IIHS or NHTSA for the safety of the accident.
Both the federal and independent collision testers have broken the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class 2019 against a wall, an astonishing failure often reserved for low-volume vehicles. Accordingly, we are keeping our score safe until those tests occur. (Read more about how we rate cars.)

The GLA45 AMG includes most of the features in its standard equipment list, along with panoramic sunroof and the Harman Kardon 12 speaker system. In the early spec, the GLA45 can come ever so close to $ 70,000, just behind the amazing and much stronger C63 AMG.
While not a superstar mileage, GLA averages fuel economy as another compact hatchback, and even the AMG does not carry a large penalty.
GLA earns 5 gas points, based on its EPA rating. (Read more about how we rate cars.)
